QKR Stampede Challenge - Embossing of Any Kind

Hi, gals!

Are you ready for the QKR Stampede challenge for today?  The theme is "Embossing of any kind" and I'm sure you all have a lot of embossing folders you forget to use.  I grabbed digi # 9410 - Birthday Gator to go with an old birthday embossing folder.

I went with green so it could be used as either a boy card or a girl card.  I'll have to grab that old embossing folder more often as I like it behind the little gator!

Join in with one of your favorites and see if you are the grand winner!

Get Well Soon!

Hello, again!

Are you ready for the weekend to come & just counting the days until it does?  Hopefully, your week has been a good one & that is not the case.

I've volunteered to donate get well cards at church and this is one of the cards I just finished.  There is nothing like a cute critter to make you smile & cheer up! This little guy is adorable & I'm hoping he will have the desired effect on whoever gets him.  I love making cards & if I can spread a little tiny bit of cheer to someone else with one of my cards, I'm happy to do it.

I'll see you tomorrow for the Friday QKR Stampede weekly challenge!

Autumn is coming!

Happy Hump Day!

Are you enjoying the cooler evenings yet?  One of these days it will be cold enough to need the furnace back on.  Yuk!!

How cute is this little gal?  Another Stamping Bella I couldn't resist & especially when she was on sale! Isn't there another commandment that says "Thou shall not pass up a sale?"  ha ha Or maybe it is part of the stamper's creed!

I had a lot of fun with her & her fall leaf dress & mushroom umbrella!

Back tomorrow with a critter!

Let it snow!

Hello, friends!

Back again with a complete change of subject matter from the last few days.

This cute image is another Stamping Bella.  I LOVE their stamps!  And luckily, I had just the perfect backdrop for it with a Memory Box Scattered Snowflake Frame from my stash of Christmas dies.
I adore Christmas and have tons of Christmas stamps and sentiments and an entire basket of nothing but Christmas dies.  They are all neatly organized by category...deer, holly, ornaments, snowflakes, etc. etc. so I can find them easily. It makes Christmas cards so much easier!

I'm changing gears again tomorrow with a totally different holiday!  Stay tuned!

Lovng Care!

Hello, friends!

We all have a need for sympathy cards, but they are never easy to make.  Especially if they are for someone close to us.  I like to keep mine fairly simple and usually go for pastels for some reason. I'm sure you all have your favorite styles too.

I'll be back tomorrow with a snowman for a complete change of pace!

Pretty in pink!

Hello, again!

I love pink! Something about the beauty of the color that speaks to me.  As do most pastel colors, actually.  Or wild bright colors.....I just love color in any shade!

I used a Cheery Lynn Designs French Lattice Small Frame to showcase the beautiful pink. An added sentiment & a beautiful (and flat) flower and it was done. ( Poppy Stamps Sylvan Sprig and Poppy Stamps Stitched Bloom Trio).

I love the fact this card doesn't require extra postage or a heavily padded envelope to mail!

I'll be back tomorrow with a final sympathy card before we change gears and do something else. Enjoy the rest of your weekend & have a great week ahead!

With loving thoughts...

Happy Saturday!

I hope you all had a fabulous week & the weekend is off to a fantastic start! It's hard to believe we are into September already.  The cicada's are already chirping every night & have been for weeks.  Don't they say that means 6 weeks before a hard frost?  I hope I have that really wrong & it is 12 weeks! Lol!

It's so easy to make a sympathy card (or any other card) when you have a beautiful frame die. This Sue Wilson Austrian Collection Background die is the most gorgeous frame you can find.  It not only cuts, but embosses.  And its beautiful enough on its own that all you need to add is just a sentiment.
There are some dies I just look at and know have to come home with me!  This was one of those!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge- Anything Goes

Hi, friends!

The QKR Stampede challenge for today is always the most popular one that we do! The theme is "Anything Goes" and that basically gives you the chance to make a card with any theme you like.
I decided to get a jump on Christmas cards so I grabbed digi # 2906-Cat Present. As a crazy cat lady, I couldn't resist this image!

If any of you have a cat, you know that a box is more irresistible than even catnip to a cat! They immediately jump inside and entertain themselves (and you) for hours! I have spent money on cat toys for my cat, only to have him ignore them and play with the box instead.

See what you can come up with & join in on the fun!  Good luck!!

Oh, be sure to scroll down to my next post today!  It's the 15th of the month, which means it is also time for the Dies R Us Challenge post!

Dies R Us Challenge - Fancy Corners

Hello, friends!

Can you believe that September is half over already!  This summer is just flying by! Well, as usual, it is time for the Dies R Us Challenge today & boy, do I love the theme! Fancy Corners is the theme for this challenge & I knew immediately which die I would choose! Although I have tons of corner dies, this new one that I just got this week is by far my favorite! I fell in love with it on first sight & couldn't wait to get my order in for it! I paired this die (Tutti Designs Leaves Corner) with another new die, Lawn Fawn So Thankful Border Die!  I plan to use this as a Thanksgiving card for my daughter!

Isn't this gorgeous!  I can see so many things I can do with this beautiful corner!  Grab YOUR favorite corner die & see what you can come up with!  You don't want to pass up a chance to win a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store! They have hundreds of dies & get new ones in all the time! I can vouch for that!! I keep telling myself I have all the dies I need & then they post new ones & I'm like an alcoholic at a wine tasting festival!  ha ha Aren't they just way too addictive?

Be sure you check out the daily Dies R Us Inspiration blog too while you are headed to the Dies R Us Challenge blog!

Be sure you scroll down to my second post for today!  It is also Friday so I will be posting the current challenge at QKR Stampede today as well.

With sympathy!

Hi, ladies!

The week is almost over & I'm sharing a sympathy card today.  Nobody likes to make them or receive them, but sometimes it has to be...

I love this flower border because it is also a die that embosses.  The die I used for this was Memory Box Bloomington Border.  You can still get a gorgeous flower without the extra bulk of trying to mail dimensional flowers.  I'm always on the lookout for dies like that!

Join me again tomorrow for the QKR Stampede weekly challenge blog!

Hope you are "re-covered"

Hi, everyone!

Have you ever needed a quick get well card for someone?  Well, this one is super fast & still quite cute.

I love the sentiment of this stamp set.  The inside says "Hope you are fully re-covered".....perfect for just about any illness or injury.  Love the play on words!

Of course, I had to grab some polka dot paper to go with the chair!  And my favorite corner punch for accent!

Tomorrow I'm changing gears again & will be back with a sympathy card!

Wedding Bliss

Hello, friends!

Well, our final wedding card today & then I'm off to share all kinds of different things with you for the rest of the week! I really, really enjoyed making all of these wedding cards though.

I went with a cream & black theme for this one.  Another card that too much longer because of the lacy frame.  The frame is from Sue Wilson Noble Collection -Ornate Pierced Squares & the Mr & Mrs is also a Sue Wilson die.  The beautiful stitched heart is a Cheapo Die & the beautiful corner is from Tutti Designs Fancy Heart Corner.  I would have preferred a pastel color or even white, but the gal ordering the cards suggested some be cream & black.  It's still pretty, but I would have loved it better in another color.

See you again tomorrow with a cute & simple get well card.

Hugs,
Sherri

Here comes the bride!

Hello, again!

I hope you aren't tired of wedding cards yet! We still have one more to go yet tomorrow! I have to confess, I had a lot of fun making them & it was a welcome change from the get well & birthday cards I had been working on.

This card was another that took quite awhile.  The outside frame is Sue Wilson Italian Collection-Umbria.  Another die I adore!  The couple is a Die-Versions Whispers-Wedding Canopy die.

I love, love, love making special cards with lacy frames! It just steps them up a notch! Hopefully, the happy couple who gets this one will think so too!

Back tomorrow with my last wedding card!

Hugs,
Sherri

Ahh.....love!

Hello, again!

Wedding cards are so much fun!  I love making them & wondering if the happy couple will save them or just toss them away once the big day is over.  I think most people save them, at least for a few years!

This card took quite a bit longer to make than the one from yesterday! But I love the results, so it was worth it.  The outside frame & beautiful scrollwork is from Marianne Designs Anja's Frilly Square. One of my all-time favorite dies! The beautiful doves are from Impression Obsession's Love Doves and the couple are from Die Namites Wedding Portrait (which actually has a floral wreath around it, but I cut that part off).

Back tomorrow with yet another version of a wedding card!

Sherri

Mr. & Mrs.

Happy Saturday!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start & you are going to have a fun two days! As I mentioned Thursday, I had a friend request for several wedding cards & this is the first of 4 I made for her.

This was an easy card to make.  The beautiful die literally makes it for you! If you ever need something simple & quick, this is the way to go.

I'll be back tomorrow with another wedding card.  Until then, enjoy your weekend! These beautiful days won't last too much longer & it will be cold weather before you know it!

What a great theme!!!  I love to do cards with fall leaves so this was right up my alley! I chose digi # 15901- Scarecrow & sunflowers.

I love, love this image! How cute is this little guy and with the sunflowers beside him....wow!

Wedding shower

Hi, gals!

I had a friend who needed some wedding cards & a shower card so I will be sharing those in the next couple of days.  Here is the shower card I came up with.

The shower colors were white & black so I went with this .  Grabbed some of my favorite dies & my favorite corner punch and it was all done.

I'll see you tomorrow with our weekly QKR Stampede challenge!

Happy Hump Day!

Your week is half over!  I hope it has been a great one so far!

It's always nice to send flowers as a thank you, but this way you can still send your flowers with a card!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Happy Birthday!

Hello, friends!

Are you a big lover of cake like I am?  And if it is chocolate cake.......say no more!  Notice I just had to color this up as a chocolate cake!  That is ALWAYS my choice when MY birthday comes around! I got those chocolate loving genes from my mom!  And she passed them on to both me and my sister! ha ha

This is another Stamping Bella stamp!

I'm afraid I would have sliced a much bigger piece of that delectable looking cake than she did!

I'll see you tomorrow with a thank you card!

Happy Monday!

Are you a lover of birthdays like this happy little mouse?  Looks like he is ready to PARTY!! I've had this stamp a long, long time & decided it was time he saw some ink again.

I decided this "gift" background was perfect for this guy and with the addition of a little glitter, he was ready to go!

Enjoy your week!!

Dies R Us Challenge - Handmade Flowers

Hello, friends!

And happy September!!  Can you believe it is here already?  It won't be long before the leaves begin to turn & we see all the beautiful fall colors!

Since today is the first of the month, we have our awesome Dies R Us Challenge and the theme for this one is "Handmade Flowers" so I am expecting a lot of fabulous cards from everyone! I have to admit, I usually use flat flowers just because they are easier to mail, but making the dimensional flowers for this challenge made me fall in love with them all over again.  They are really easy to make & boy, do they give your card that "WOW" factor!  I'll be using more of them from now on!

The dies I used on this one are:  Impression Obsession Spiral Daisy, Cherry Lynn Small Gardenia,
Spellbinders Ribbon Banner Labels, Poppy Stamps Sylvan Sprig & Sue Wilson Noble Collection-Ornate Pierced Design.

Grab your favorite flower dies & join in on all the fun!  You could be the winner of a fabulous gift certificate to the Dies R Us Store!  The most amazing shopping place on the entire internet!  (Not that I'm predjudiced!) ha ha

Happy crafting, everyone!!

Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge - Wild West

Happy September, everyone!

This will be a really busy day as I have two posts to share today instead of just one.  Be sure to scroll down to see the Dies R Us Challenge post which should follow this one directly if I do it right!
Today's post is our weekly QKR Stampede challenge and the theme this week is "Wild West" which is not a theme I use a lot, but I have to admit it was a lot of fun!  There are a lot of darling stamps on the QKR Stampede store site which would be perfect!  I went with Digi # 18001-Bucking Bronc.

I had a lot of western dies in my stash, so I grabbed these 3.  What a surprise that I had western dies! ha ha  Truthfully, I have everything from frogs, mailboxes, hydrants, and coffee cups to wagons & lobsters.  You just never know when you might need a frog...or a lobster!  ha ha

Get over to the QKR Stampede blog and enter your own western card! You might be the winner of some new digi stamps!

Enjoy your weekend!  And don't forget to keep scrolling for the Dies R Us challenge to follow!

Sending Hugs!

Hello, everyone!

Who among us can't use an extra hug?  I know I sure don't pass up the offer of a hug!  And I love to give them as well as get them! My Mom raised my sister & I to be "huggers" and Dad always said that wasn't his style.  But he would wait by the back door before leaving for work in the morning to get his hug & kiss.  If we weren't right there, he would always announce "I'm leaving".......and wait for us to get there!  Mom used to laugh about it!  I'm so glad she raised us to show our feelings!

These adorable elephants have found someone to hug!  This is another Stamping Bella stamp. I LOVE their critters!

Find someone to hug today!  It will make both of you feel better!! Hugs are just another way to say I love you without words!

Sherri

Oops! I lied to you!

Hello, again!

Boy, I guess I didn't check my cards too carefully before I promised you that you had seen the last of that corner die, did I?  Well, this one IS the very last one!  Promise!!!!

This is another Stamping Bella stamp and perfect for your best friend's birthday.  I can assure you there are NO corner wishes on the elephant card I'm posting tomorrow!!  ha ha

Have a wonderful week!

Say WHAT!!??

Hello again!

Another card to tickle your funnybone!  This is another Stamping Bella stamp & the minute I found it I started laughing.  I knew I had the perfect sentiment to go with it! It says" That's dog years, right? Happy Birthday!"

This is kind of how I feel when I realize just how old I am!  Or when I look in the mirror first thing in the morning! ha ha

Back tomorrow with another birthday card.

I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Another Stamping Bella stamp today with two of their cute critters!  I'm not sure which is having the birthday, but you can bet the other is wishing them a great day!

This is the last card with the happy birthday corner on it!  YAY!!!!!!  I'm sure you are sick of it too!

See you tomorrow with a doggie card!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Keep Your Eye On The Ball - any sport that uses a ball

Happy Friday, everyone!

Can you believe this is the last Friday of August already?  One of these days it will be time for school to start.

Today's theme is "Keep Your Eye on the Ball" and you can use any image from any sport that uses a ball.  Baseball, tennis, golf, football, or anything else you can think of.  And ball cards are always a good bet for "guy" cards!  So you can get two birds with one stone!  Enter the challenge for a chance to win some free digi stamps and create a guy  card for your stash!

I used digi # 14202 - Baseball boy for mine.

These dog days of summer are the perfect time to stay inside & work on cards!

Enjoy your weekend!

From one "glamorous" babe to another!

Hello, again!

Don't you love to get a funny card on your birthday?  Especially as we age! They seem even funnier to you then.  This gal has to be given a lot of credit. Not only is she still wearing her bathing suit, but she is rocking it! Complete with earrings, bracelet & cute heels! She is obviously going to keep right on being as glamorous as she can no matter what age she gets to! Hurray for her!

The sentiment inside says "Happy birthday from one "glamorous" babe to another!"
What a fun card to send your best girlfriend!

I'll see you tomorrow with our weekly QKR Stampede challenge!

Hugs,
Sherri

Have a "Mice" Birthday!

Happy Hump Day, gals!

I hope your week is going well & you are all keeping out of trouble! I've been so busy working on cards, I haven't had time for much else.  Shopping, of course, but that doesn't count!

The card I have today is an old Stamping Up set of stamps I've had for years & years.  I'm trying to go thru my baskets of stamps & use some of my old ones.  I've been so wrapped up in using my new ones that I needed to take a break & grab some old ones.  And sometimes the old ones are a much needed breath of fresh air!

As I warned you yesterday, you will be seeing several more cards with this cute happy birthday corner before I am done with it.  ha ha  Two more in fact!

I went with red & yellow to keep it bright & cheerful.

Enjoy the rest of your week, ladies!

The dreaded guy cards!

Hello, gals!

Here is a quick way to do a guy card for your favorite guy if he is into tools....and what man isn't?
The stamp set was from Flourishes and had lots of "fillers" for the coffee cups they gave you. I grabbed the tools because I knew I had some tool dies to go with it.

I grabbed this handy Die Versions Corner Concept Happy Birthday die as well.  It's the perfect way to say happy birthday without having to actually stamp it on your image.  I had actually forgotten about it for awhile & when I was pulling out cards for my donation box I saw another card I had made using it & fell in love with it all over again.  That will be obvious once you see how many times I used it on the cards I will be sharing! ha ha!  It's a quick way to add some extra pazazz to any card.

I stamped the mug on the same paper I used for my background, cut a slit in the top & inserted the tools I had colored & fussy cut into it.  Yes, I'm one of the weird people who actually enjoy fussy cutting!

I'll be back tomorrow with some cute mice!

Flowers for your birthday!

Hello, friends,

I'm back again with one of my favorite dies.  I use this one a lot!  I grabbed one of my older stamps for this one & it was one I bought unmounted so I'm not sure, but think it is from Lily of the Valley.

I love yellow & red together! It always makes such a bright & happy card!

I'll be back tomorrow with a guy card!

Sherri

Happy Birthday!

Happy Sunday!

I hope your weekend is going fantastically and you are getting rested up for the week ahead.
I have a birthday card to share today.  I don't make a lot of dimensional flowers for my cards because it is so difficult to mail them, but I recently found a tutorial on making envelopes that would fit them.
Heartfelt Creations has directions for envelopes in several sizes so now you can make (and buy) all those dimensional flower dies you loved but avoided!

I used the following dies on this card: Die-namics Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose, Sue Wilson Austrian Collection Background & Impression Obsession Foliage.

Have fun with your flowers!!

Sherri

Just close your eyes!

Hello, again!

The minute I saw this Stamping Bella image I fell in love with it and the sentiment that went with it! Wouldn't it be wonderful if you actually COULD just close your eyes and calories didn't count? Especially with ice cream!  One of my favorite things in the entire world!

This cone reminds me of a trip my daughter & I took thru McDonald's drive thru one summer day when we were both much younger.  It was the middle of summer with those horrible hot, humid days and we decided to get ice cream cones.  Luckily for us, we got someone new at the window and it was her first day on the job.  She had no idea how to run the ice cream machine & no idea how to turn it off.  We sat there watching her from the car as the cones just kept getting taller & taller, and TALLER!  She had to turn it sideways to get it into the window of the car!  ha ha  We laughed all the way home & still laugh about it now! I'm sure they did an amazing amount of business that day once people figured out how large her cones were!

Enjoy your weekend!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Shaped Cards (no squares or rectangles)

Hello, everyone!

I was really happy to see the theme for this week's QKR Stampede challenge was shaped cards!  It made me get out of my rut and think outside the box.  We all get so used to doing squares or rectangles, that we forget there are other shapes that are just as fun too!

I grabbed digi # 13201 Celebrating Kitty for my card.

This was so much fun I need to make several more now!  I have lots of flowers & dies that would fit nicely on round cards.

Grab your stamps & join in the fun!  Try a fun shape for a change & see what you can come up with!

Hugs,
Sherri

Bright wishes!

Happy Hump Day!

I'm still in a "yellow" mode and grabbed more of it for today's birthday card.  I wanted something I could do quickly and this certainly filled the bill! I've had this great border die that also embosses for years and pulled it out just because I wanted something I could thread ribbon through.

If you are in a pinch for a quick card, this literally takes just minutes!  You can grab any ribbon you like and totally change the look instantly.

Back tomorrow with another Stamping Bella!

Sherri

Little Piggy!

Hello, everyone!

Today's card is another Stamping Bella design.  I loved this little piggy and the sentiment that came with him is perfect for a thank you card! We all have those people in our lives that are always there for us! I went with a happy yellow background from my stash of polka dot paper.  Yes....I'm weird, I know.  I have 2 drawers that hold only polka dot paper or gingham paper.  My 2 favorite papers!

I'm working on a new batch of cards for a donation to Lincoln's Legacy.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, it funds research for Fibrodysplasia Ossificons Progressiva (FOP). I have a friend whose grandson has it and if you google it, you will see how devastating this disease actually is. They have a fundraiser in Sioux City where they auction off donated gifts & even though I no longer live there, I promised to donate cards for the next one they had.  If you are looking for somewhere to donate to a good cause, check it out!

See you tomorrow with a quick birthday card!

Sherri

Dies R Us Challenge - Anything Goes With Dies

Hello, friends!

Can you believe August is already half over & one of these days all the kids will be heading back to school?  Better enjoy all these warm days while you can!

Today's challenge theme at Dies R Us is a really fun and easy one! Anything Goes With Dies.....so grab your favorite dies and join all the fun! You can create any type of card that strikes your fancy! And who knows, you may be the lucky winner of a gift voucher to the awesome Dies R Us store!
(AKA my favorite place to shop!)

Here is what I came up with.

The dies I used are as follows:  Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Borders, Sue Wilson Mini Gemini Collection-Dorado and Sue Wilson Configurations-Elegant Laced Edger.  What a great way to create a gorgeous card for your favorite gal!

If you have never joined our challenges before, you owe it to yourself to do so!

You're a class act!

Hi, friends!

We all know someone who is always on our mind, don't we? It may be a family member or just a dear, dear friend.  But what a great way to let them know how much you care!

This is another Stamping Bella stamp.  I used an old, old corner punch for the corner flowers. Back in the day before dies became so popular, your only option for adding interest to a card was with punches.  I think I have every single Martha Stewart punch she ever made.  And I still use them from time to time.  Especially the corner punches!

Hope your week ahead will be a fun one!

Sherri

May all your wishes come true!

Happy Weekend!

Back again with another cute Stamping Bella stamp.  I can't seem to get my fill of them.

Wouldn't this be a cute card to send to your best friend?  I love the heart shaped balloons!

Tomorrow I have a cute "guy" card to share.

QKR Stampede - Inspired by Music

Happy Friday!

Are you ready for a fun challenge?  The theme for today's QKR Stampede challenge is "Inspired by Music" and there are so many different ways you can go with this one.  I picked a cute cow for mine. He is digi # 7806 Serenading.

What do you suppose he has been singing beside Happy Birthday to mooooooo?  Mooooon over Miami,  I'm in the mooooooood for love.....the list could go on forever!  ha ha  Hopefully, this chubby little cow will give someone a huge chuckle.  The inside message says "Hope your birthday is "utterly" fantastic!

Grab your stamps or dies that would work for the music challenge & you could be the winner of some great new digi stamps!

Sherri

Fall is coming!

Hello, everyone!

Are you ready for a fun fall birthday card today?  I found the perfect fall stamp at Stamping Bella that could easily be a Thanksgiving card as well as a fall birthday card.  I fell in love with this adorable image the minute I saw it.

Isn't she adorable?  LOVE the sunflower in her hair! Wonder what kind of Miracle Grow she is feeding to her pumpkins to make them grow big enough to sit on?

I'll see you tomorrow with our weekly QKR Stampede challenge!

Hugs,
Sherri

Have a "mice" birthday!

Hello, gals!

I'm not sure I would be happy to see two mice in my coffee cup....even if they were as cute as these two!  This is another Stamping Bella stamp & lots of fun to color up.

I grabbed one of my favorite Marianne Design dies to really show them off.

Isn't it funny when you have tons of dies, you still have your "favorites" and the ones you go to time & time again?  Remember when dies first came out & all you had to chose from were circles, squares, ovals and rectangles?  When I finally collected all of those basic shapes I thought I was in heaven.  Who knew it would develop into an obsession?  ha ha Am I the only one with this addiction or are there others out there just like me?

Back tomorrow with a fun fall birthday card!

Hugs,
Sherri

Awwwwww.....you shouldn't have!

Hello, friends!

Is this the perfect sentiment for a thank you card or what!  I fell in love with it (and the rabbit image) the minute I saw it.

As I mentioned before, I had a lot of camera problems when I took this.  But hopefully, you still get the idea.  You can never have too many thank you cards!  And a cute critter on it is even better!

Hugs,
Sherri

Beautiful ferns!

Happy Sunday!

Got this great corner fern die the other day & have already had a lot of fun with it.

I usually make my cards first & then select the paper.  How do you do it?  I got lucky with this one & found the perfect matching paper!  I'm always amazed at the times I have considered a piece of paper as "ugly" and unusable and then end up using it because it is just perfect for a card image!

See you tomorrow! Hope you have had a great weekend!

With Sympathy

Welcome back!

I'm still building my stash of sympathy cards & I love the colors on this one.  It's another quick card but will work beautifully when you need it.

It wasn't my day today when it came to the camera!  First my battery died and then I forgot to grab the card out of the computer & put it back in the camera before I took the rest of the pictures. Ended up doing them twice & then I had problems getting them centered. Good thing I don't take pictures for a living!  ha ha

See you tomorrow!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Make it Humorous

Hello, gals!

Where did July go?  The summer months go all too quickly, don't they?  Time to enjoy each warm day before the days get chillier!

Today's challenge at QKR Stampede is "MAKE IT HUMOROUS" and that gives you a lot of possibilities!  We all have those favorite stamps we love to use again & again.  Maybe you ought to pull out your favorite stamps (or head to the QKR Stampede store) to find some new humorous digi stamps!

I've used digi # 13205 Ain't No Kid & Digi # 17106 Old Goat

Isn't this image perfect for an older guy?  There is nothing like a humorous card to help you through birthdays when you start to get older!

Sherri

Sympathy comes in yellow too!

Hi, everyone!

I got a new border die the other day & couldn't wait to try it out.  I had originally planned to have the border on both edges, but cut my paper wrong!  Duh!  At that point, I was too tired to start over so I went with this version instead.

It would have been beautiful with the edge on top and bottom, but it is still beautiful.  LOVE this new die!

Join me tomorrow for our weekly QKR Stampede challenge! It's a great way to get free digi stamps!

With heartfelt condolences

Hello, friends!

I'm still working on the cards for my donation & everyone needs sympathy cards so I will include some of those as well.

I love simple sympathy cards and it doesn't get much simpler than this.  I have another to share tomorrow using a new edge die.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Dies R Us - Summertime Fun Challenge

Hello, friends!

Are you all enjoying this fantastic summer?  I know I certainly am!  Even with all the heat & humidity, I would still take summer over winter any time!  Whenever we think of the summer months, we always think of all the fun summer activities we can enjoy.  I tend to think of fishing trips!  I know, who knew.....but in my younger days I did a lot of fishing & always enjoyed it.  Except for the part where you have to put the bait on the hook!  ha ha   There is a peace and calm you get sitting in a boat waiting for the fish to bite that you don't get doing anything else.

So my card for today's challenge had to be a fishing card.

That fish is actually bigger than anything I ever caught! Lol!  The dies I used are as follows:

Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Oval Stackables, Memory Box Stitched Clouds, Cheery Lynn Fishing Boat Set, Memory Box Big Splash Border, Amy Design Fish & Bobber and Die-Namites Cattails.

You can find all of these awesome dies ( and hundreds of others) at the awesome Dies R Us Store!
If you want the latest dies from the largest selection of companies, you have got to pay them a visit!

I can't wait to see what YOUR favorite summertime fun is!  All you need to compete is to use at least one die on your card.  You may be the winner of a great gift voucher to the store!

Enjoy the rest of your week!
