QKR Stampede Challenge - Snowman or Snowflakes

Hello, everyone!

I hope all of you made it safely through the holidays and are relaxing at long last after all the hustle & bustle of the Christmas season!  And we are almost up to 2017 already!  Where did the year go?

For those of you who already have your tree down & have a bit of free time, the QKR Stampede challenge for this week is Snowman or Snowflakes.  Maybe you could make a cute winter card for someone (or even start on next year's cards!).  The QKR Store has tons of darling snowmen.  I chose Digi # 15903 Dancing Snowman for my card.

He has such a happy smile!  Apparently, he is thrilled with all this cold & snowy weather!  I'm sure the rest of us have a slightly different angle on this than he does!

Grab your supplies & see what you can come up with!  You could have some brand new digi stamps to play with for the new year!

See you soon!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Santa

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Since this will be my last post before the big day, I want to wish everyone a fabulous holiday!  I hope you all get to enjoy the holiday surrounded by those you love & wish all of you safe travels if you have to go out of town to do that!  This will be my first Christmas as a Nebraska resident!  What a relief not to have to worry about driving three hours to spend the holidays with my daughter anymore!  As many of you know, we can post these to our blogs ahead of time & simply schedule the day they will appear.  We are having our first snowfall here right now (December 3rd) and while it is beautiful to look at, I'm hoping it will be weeks before we see another one!  I have never been a fan of winter! ha ha  Give me a beautiful spring or summer day any time!

The theme for this weeks QKR Stampede challenge is "Santa" which should make it really easy for you!  I chose Digi # 5201 - Santa Bear's List for my card.

It looks like "Santa" is checking his list to see who gets the good stuff & who gets coal!  I hope all of you get the "good" stuff!  Merry Christmas, everyone!  And don't forget what this season is really in celebration of!

Catch you next week!

Dies R Us Challenge - Snow

Hello, friends!

Well, it's that time of year again & I'm guessing that many of you have already had that dreaded first snowfall!  I'm tired of the cold & cloudy days already & counting the days until spring arrives!  Winter is NOT my favorite season!  Lol

The challenge theme for the Dies R Us Challenge Blog today is "Snow"....you may post anything relating to snow....snowmen, snowflakes, etc. etc.  but you must use a die in your entry.  I chose two of my favorites from Precious Marieke:  Snowflake Corner & Snowflake Circle.  The darling snowman is a digi from Sassy Cheryl.

Be sure to head over to the Dies R Us Daily Inspiration Blog too!  And, of course, don't forget the incredible & amazing Dies R Us Store!  The largest selection of dies anywhere!

Good luck, everyone!  I know the winner will have fun choosing new dies with the gift voucher.
I'll see you back soon!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Non-Traditional Colors

Hello, again!

It's getting closer & closer to that big day & I hope you are well ahead on your shopping & card making!  I'm a bit behind, but I guess that is to be expected with the move.  The good news is that I work well under pressure!  ha ha

The QKR Stampede challenge for today is to make a Christmas card using non-traditional colors.  I started by chosing this adorable Eureka digi # 3006 - Polar Bear Present and then pulling out the boxes of Christmas paper in my closet.  Yes....BOXES!  Christmas has always been my most favorite holiday and I cannot walk past a sale on Christmas paper without stopping.  And once I do, at least one 12 X 12 pad finds it's way into my cart!  I am so proud of myself though!  Since the move to Lincoln, I have not purchased a single sheet of paper of ANY kind, which is a record for me! I think the boxes & boxes of paper the movers unloaded was my "ah hah" moment and I realized just how much paper I had been hoarding.

Back to the challenge!  Here is my take on non-traditional.

I grabbed one of my Memory Box dies (Hanover Snowflake) and cut two of them & layered them for extra dimension.  I also went over the entire bear with Wink of Stella for some added sparkle, although it doesn't show up well here.

Head on over to the QKR Stampede blog and submit YOUR entry!  It's a great way to add to your card stash and be entered for a chance to win some adorable digi stamps at the same time!

Happy Crafting!
