Anything Goes Blog Hop!

Hi, Gals!

A little change of pace for this week's QKR Stampede's challenge!  We are having an "ANYTHING GOES" blog hop!!

Welcome to the QKR Stampede and Eureka Stamps Blog Hop. You should have arrived from the talented Kristie's Blog, and if you didn't,  the entire list is also at the bottom of the post just in case you get lost. We are doing anything goes for our challenge and you have 2 weeks to color up an image from either QKR or Eureka and make a project to join us in this challenge. For this challenge only we are requiring that you use QKR images on the QKR Challenge and Eureka Images on the Eureka Challenge.

Stop by QKR Stampede and Eureka Stamps and join in our challenges we would love to have you join us and if you comment on each blog along the hop you could be the lucky winner of 2 more images, just for commenting. Now hop on over to Marji's blog and see her great project. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Here is my post for the blog.

I loved this digi (#15009-Silly Kitty) and decided I would have him doing exactly what cats always do! Find the one place you DON'T want them to nap and decide that is the ONLY place they want to nap!  I put him in this big potted plant where he looks right at home!

Is It Glandular??

Happy Friday!

I have to say of all the challenges for QKR Stampede this month, today's has been my favorite.  I have a really hard time with the theme Monochrome as I normally prefer lots of bright colors.  However, this elephant just spoke to me from the minute I saw him and when I found the sentiment to go with him, I just had to go with it!  I laugh every time I look at him!  In fact, I was so busy laughing at him, that I made my "first" card in nice bright colors!!  ha ha  It was only after I finished it that I remembered today's theme was Monochrome!!!  Yup!  Had to start all over & make a whole new card.  Do you ever have days like that, or is it just me?  ha ha

This is the "challenge" card that goes with the theme Momochrome!

Nice & monocromatic!  ha ha

This was the card I first made!  I was SO happy with it too!!   ha ha  Guess that will teach me to pay attention to what I am doing!

I hope I have inspired you to head on over to QKR Stampede's blog to join in the fun!

Catch you again later,

A Christmas Head Start!

Happy Hump Day!

Well, it's time to start doing what I always say I am going to do!  Start my Christmas cards BEFORE Christmas!  ha ha  Each year, I promise myself I don't want to go through the hassle & stress of trying to get all my cards done at the last minute.  This year, I am hoping to do some here & there until I have a little stack ahead!  Here is my first one.

This used only 3 dies.  Cheery Lynn Merry Christmas Sentiments, Spellbinders Mystical Embrace & Memory Box Shining Candles.  All of these can be found at the Dies R Us store along with enough other dies to satisfy even a die addict like me!  lol  And the shipping rates are fabulous!

Be sure you check out the blogs as well!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Thanks again & again & again!

Hi!

I had planned to post something else today, but as happens so often lately, my day kind of went to pot & the things I thought would take a short time ended up taking most of my day.  So I have some thank you cards that I made the other day that I will share instead.  Hopefully, tomorrow I will have time to work on the project I had intended to today.

This first thank you was done with Sue Wilson Tethered Hearts.

This second thank you was also done with a Sue Wilson die..Embroidered.

And the last one was created with a Memory Box Delicate Butterfly Arch.

All of these were really quick & easy & made while I was puttering around & experimenting with the dies to see how they looked.  Did you ever have one of those days where you didn't know what you wanted to make, but you wanted to play with new dies?  ha ha That was one of those days!

Enjoy the rest of the week & I will check in later!

Heading to the mall!

Hello, everyone!

Are you all ready to shop till you drop?  This little country mouse certainly is!  Today's challenge theme at QKR Stampede is to Add A Button.  I chose this darling little mouse for my digi.  I couldn't resist her with her cute little purse.

Head on over to QKR Stampede's blog & join in on all the fun!  Their images are adorable & you stand a great chance to win some free!

Stitching!

Hi, again!

Well, today's theme for the Dies R Us Challenge for the 15th is "Stitching" and this was REALLY a challenge for me!  We have to get these ready ahead of time, of course, and as you know the past 3 weeks have been pretty wild around here.  Dad is finally doing better & hopefully, it won't be long before he can come home again.  Although I used to sew all the time when my daughter was little, I haven't done a lot of it in these past few years.  In fact, the cheap sewing machine I bought a couple of years ago just to sew on my cards was a waste of money & doesn't work at all.  I brought mom's machine home last week while I was cleaning at dad's and thought I was all set!  I had hemmed 4 pairs of pants for him to wear at the nursing home for his rehab and had no doubt my card for today was going to be glorious!  ha ha  Well, you know what they say about counting your chickens ....... After 2 hours of moving the tension every position under the sun I still couldn't get it to sew on paper.  Ruined the first card entirely.  The only stitch I could get to even remotely work was a version of a zig zag.  See for yourself!

I'm sure whatever YOU do if you enter the challenge, it will be infinitely better than mine!

The dies I used were Spellbinder Mystical Embrace & Sue Wilson Striplet-Tethered Hearts.

Check out the newest additions to the store before you head off to the challenge!  We are carrying an unbelievable number of die companies now & even some stamps!

Happy crafting!!

Shop Till You Drop!

Happy Wednesday!

It's time to shop till you drop!  Sounds fantastic doesn't it?  Somehow I don't think it will be too hard to convince most of you to do just that!  Nothing makes you feel better than a little retail therapy!

Today's card at Dies R Us was made around a new Penny Black stamp I got on vacation last month.  I fell in love with it, not just because it was a cat, but because it was so darned cute!  It will make a perfect card to use to enclose a  gift card, won't it?

I only used 2 dies on this one.  Spellbinders Adorning Squares & Magnolia Doo Hickey Flower Swirl Corner.    Check out the Dies R Us store, gals!  Dani is adding things faster than even I can keep up with! New die companies & even stamps!  And don't foget to play along with the challenge blogs too!

Happy shopping!!

Back to School

Friday  again!!

They do creep up quickly don't they!  And I bet everyone has been counting the hours until it got here! lol

Today's QKR Stampede theme is Back to School.  What better image than this adorable school teacher!  It looks like she is ready & waiting for her first student!  I struggled with this  card as I don't have a lot of things that go with the theme, but did manage to find some Hugware that fit the bill perfectly!

Hop on over to QKR Stampede to join in on the weekly challenge & win some fantastic digi stamps!

Catch you later!

A Little Birdie Told Me!

Happy Hump Day!

Time for another visit to the Dies R Us blog to check out all the exciting things going on there!  Today I'm sharing a birthday card that would be suitable for the man in your life!  We all know how much fun those are to make!  lol

To see the dies I used,  check out the Dies R Us blog for the complete list!  Each will be linked back to the store if you want to order any of them too, which makes it really easy!
This is the inside of my card.  I used the edge I cut off the front for the bottom inside border. Another line of happy little birds & the card was done!  Easy as pie!

Have a great day!

Country Crooning!

Happy Friday, Gals!

Blogger is being extremely slow tonight, so I'm hoping I can get this posted before it crashes.

I hope you had a fantastic week and are ready for today's QKR Stampede challenge which is Rodeo/Western.   This theme isn't something I would ever have chosen on my own, but having said that, I had a ton of fun creating this card with this little cutie!

I decided to perch him on a wall for his singing debut as I didn't have any hay bale stamps or dies! ha ha

Jump on over to QKR Stampede & join in the challenge!  It's a lot of fun & you could win yourself some new and adorable stamps!
