Thank you!

Hi, all!

I don't know what your week was like, but I hope it was a good one.  Mine could have been better.  In fact, I am just thankful it is over so sharing a thank you card seems appropriate.  Not only are we really busy at work, but  I lost the person helping me so you can understand why I am glad the week is over.

I see I didn't get a very good shot of this card.  Taking photos when you are tired is never a good idea.
The pretty cup of flowers is from Inky Antics.  I colored it & cut it out & mounted it. I used an embossing folder for the mat & some paper from my stash.  Nothing fancy, but I like the way it looked on the embossed background.

Have a wonderful weekend & if I post again before Sunday, have a wonderful Easter!

Catch you later.

It's coming...

It's coming!  The weather report on tonite's news promised us 50 degrees later this week!  That HAS to mean spring is really, really coming!  And we actually had SUN today!  So I thought a thank you card would be good to share tonite.

I didn't get a very good photo of this, as it's actually prettier in real life. I wanted to keep things simple so I used an embossing folder for the background instead of my usual DP.  Gasp!! There is no bright, colorful, gorgeous paper on this one!  I may need therapy. I don't do "white" well.  I cut a couple of butterflies with an EK punch that layers them & used one of my favorite dies from Marianne Designs for the ivy.  Simple!

Have a great Wednesday!  Catch you later.

Buzzing by..

Ok, I'm NOT giving up on Spring yet!  After thinking we had dodged a bullet with no snow all weekend, I got up to snow!  Less than an inch, but still snow!  And you all know how I feel about that four letter word!
So today, I'm posting a Spring inspired birthday card.  I'm going to pretend the weather is warm enough for all the little bees to be buzzing around ! Although this little "bee" is really a cat pretending he can buzz with the best of them.

Don't you love his face?  This is an old Penny Black stamp I've had a long, long time & still pull out from time to time. The paper was from my stash & I used some Spellbinder dies to cut him out & do the computer generated sentiment.  I hope he makes you think of warm weather!

Catch you later!

Super!

Hi,
I hope everyone has had a super weekend!  The fact that our predicted snow turned out to be flurries that have already melted was enough to make MY weekend a super one!  I'm counting the days until I can put the snowblower away and not have to step over it every time I go into the garage!

To continue the "super" theme, I have a super birthday card to share tonite.

What little guy doesn't dream of growing up to be super man?  I thought this Mo Manning image would be a great birthday card.  I used a Spellbinder die to cut him out & a Fiskers punch for the banner. The paper was from my stash.

Hope your week will be a super one!  Catch you later.

A "24 carrot" day...

Hi,
I hope you all had a "24 carrot" day!   If not, there is always tomorrow, and tomorrow is a Friday so that should help cheer you up a lot!  Especially if we get the snow they are predicting tonite.

This is a Mo Manning digi I've had a long time.  She is perfect for so many occasions. I printed the sentiment on my computer & used Spellbinder dies for everything.  The paper was from Recollections.

Back tomorrow with something else!  Catch you then!

Hump Day

Hi,

Can you believe it is finally Wednesday & the week is half over?  While it is still cold here, the snow isn't supposed to arrive until tomorrow night.  I guess we will be thankful for whatever reprieve we can get! So with that in mind, I have a thank you card to share tonite.

Honestly, it looks like I was drinking from the angle I took this shot, but I was hurrying to get pictures of the last of a stack of cards I had finished.  So if you turn your head just right, everything will look straight....
Anyway, this is an old digi I got from Mo Manning  & have used a  lot.  The cherries were actually one of Michael's dollar stamps!  The minute I saw them, I knew they would be perfect for this digi. I cut her & matted her with a Spellbinder die & the gingham paper is from a 6 X 6 pad from Creative Imaginations that I wish I had bought a case of.

Enjoy your Thursday.  I'll catch you tomorrow with something new.

I have a suggestion...

I have a suggestion.....I think someone should string up that furry rodent (AKA the groundhog) until he gives us the REAL spring forecast!  Obviously, his prediction of an early spring is not happening!  They are talking more snow by the end of the week again!

So tonite, I'm going to post a spring wedding card & pretend the grass is green & flowers are peeking their little heads up!

The bride is a stamp from Lockhart Stamp Co. and I put her under the beautiful trellis from Cottage Cutz. I added some decorative corners from Cheery Lynn and a few pearls from my stash.

Catch you tomorrow!

Under the weather?

Happy Monday!

I can't believe how cold it is when spring is officially just days away!  We need to have a serious heart to heart with Mother Nature!

Tonite I have a get well card to share.  It is a digi from Designed2Delight.  I'm hoping it does!

I used 2 different Spellbinder dies & the paper was from Michael's.  I hope the cheerful color combination will bring a smile too.

Catch you tomorrow with something else.  I downloaded about 30 new cards this weekend.  I've been a busy bee!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Whether or not you are Irish or just have a wee bit of Irish blood, I hope you are enjoying the day!  I have been busy working on a card order so I didn't have any time to get St. Patrick's Day cards out this year.  I'm afraid the next best I can do is to post a "green" card!  lol

Now this is a GREEN card!  I used a Flourishes image for the flowers & cut the background mats with Spellbinder dies.  In fact, I've cut so many dies lately that my Grand Calibur has bitten the dust.  It started getting really hard to turn, then made a clanking sound like something fell inside of it & now, the handle is wobbly & it barely cranks.  Always something, right! Looks like I will be replacing it, but I'm glad I have a backup Big Shot in the meantime! We card addicts can't be without our toys!!!

Have a great week! Catch you later.

White as snow..

Hi, there!

Well, since the ground is still covered in all that nice white snow, I thought I would follow yesterday's wedding theme & share another wedding card in white tonight.  I have a lot of new cards to share, but haven't had time to photograph all of them yet.  It's been a busy week.

I usually struggle with white cards, but lately, I've really begun to enjoy them.  This one was especially fun to create.  I have a great embossing folder that I got from Stampin Up so I embossed it & cut it out for the center of my card.  I stamped it with an old stamp from Studio G that I got in Michael's dollar bin and mounted that on my favorite rectangle die from Spellbinders.  A couple of swirls and a few added flowers from my stash & it was done. I think it has a rather elegant look, which is hard for me to do.  If you know me at all, you know I usually go for whimsical or cutesy.  My daughter tells me I need to go outside my comfort zone more often, so I'm trying!

I hope you are having a wonderful week! I'll be back later with more surprises.

Happily Ever After

Hi, again!

Well, the 3-5 inches of snow turned into 9.8 inches of heavy wet snow & sleet & ice.  Not the nicest of weekends we have had lately, that's for sure!  Thank heavens for snow blowers! My fingers & toes are crossed that this was the last hurrah for winter!!

I'm sharing a wedding card today.  I thought it would be nice to post something "love" related as this is my daughter & son-in-law's wedding  anniversary.  And if anyone deserves the happily ever after, it is those two. They are both extraordinary people & perfect for each other.  Bet you can't tell that I love them both can you?

I decided to use one of my favorite Spellbinder dies to make this one.  And I added more cutouts with yet another one.  The stamp was from Hampton Arts & the flowers from my stash.

Have a wonderful week!  Catch you later!

Hunker Down!

Well, here we go again.  Another winter storm approaching again.  I have seen several different versions of how much rain/snow we are to get.  The last one said the rain will turn over to snow after midnite & we will see 3-6 inches by morning with another 2 in the morning.  Another station shows the snow lasting until midnite tomorrow nite.  Who really knows!  I just hope it is the LAST snow storm of the winter!  When you turn your clocks ahead that is supposed to mean spring is here!

Tonite I have another thank you card.  This stamp is from a Flourishes set that I love a lot.

I used an embossing folder for the card front to get that lace look I love so much!  I added a little glitter to the flowers just for fun.

If the snow materializes as promised, that will be a good excuse to stay in the house & work on cards all day.  I'll be back later with something new to share.  I have a lot of new cards to photograph yet.

Catch you later!

Is it Spring yet?

Oh, tell me that Spring is almost here!  The sun came out today & it actually got to 47 degrees!  I know it is going to rain tomorrow afternoon, but I couldn't help it.  I just had to stop & wash the car! At least I will be able to see out the windows for part of a whole day! ha ha

Tonite I have a  thank you card to share.  One of my old favorite stamps from Stampin Up.  I adore hedgehogs.  They are just so sweet.

I cut this cutie out with a Marianne Design die & added some corner flowers with an old EK Success punch. The paper was from Recollections.

Better get busy.  I downloaded a couple of new digi's last nite & want to get them colored up.

Catch you later!

Let's celebrate baby boys!

Hi,
Last nite we did a baby girl card so I guess we have to do something for the boys tonite!  I actually have a couple of them.

The first one is created with an old stamp set from Inkadinkado.  The sentiment is one from an old Stampin Up set that I've used again & again.  The beautiful train border was a strip from Jolee's Boutique.

This one was done with a set of babies from Stampin Up & the border here was also from Jolee's Boutique.

I hope your day was amazing & your week is off to a good start!  Catch you later!

Oh, baby!

Hi,

I hope you are enjoying a relaxing weekend.  I finally got caught up on all my chores & got groceries & gas so I can spend the rest of the afternoon working on cards.   I have a baby card to share today.  This one is for a girl, but tomorrow I will share a couple for the boys so they won't feel left out.

I borrowed this stamp from my friend & neither of us have any idea whose it is so I can't give them credit for it.  She got it years ago as a "freebie" from Addicted to Rubber Stamps when they used to throw in pieces of hard candy & a free unmounted stamp with your order.  I thought it would be a great girl card & added some lace from one of Martha's beautiful punches.

They are forcasting some nasty weather for us beginning today.  Rain & snow today, rain/snow & that wonderful "wintery mix" they love to throw in for tonite & then snow tomorrow morning & more "wintery mix" tomorrow afternoon, then back to snow until Wed.  Sounds just lovely, doesn't it? I'm counting the MINUTES until spring gets here!

Have a safe week.  I'll be back tomorrow with something for the boys!
