Happy Birthday!

Happy Sunday!

I hope your weekend is going fantastically and you are getting rested up for the week ahead.
I have a birthday card to share today.  I don't make a lot of dimensional flowers for my cards because it is so difficult to mail them, but I recently found a tutorial on making envelopes that would fit them.
Heartfelt Creations has directions for envelopes in several sizes so now you can make (and buy) all those dimensional flower dies you loved but avoided!

I used the following dies on this card: Die-namics Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose, Sue Wilson Austrian Collection Background & Impression Obsession Foliage.

Have fun with your flowers!!

Just close your eyes!

Hello, again!

The minute I saw this Stamping Bella image I fell in love with it and the sentiment that went with it! Wouldn't it be wonderful if you actually COULD just close your eyes and calories didn't count? Especially with ice cream!  One of my favorite things in the entire world!

This cone reminds me of a trip my daughter & I took thru McDonald's drive thru one summer day when we were both much younger.  It was the middle of summer with those horrible hot, humid days and we decided to get ice cream cones.  Luckily for us, we got someone new at the window and it was her first day on the job.  She had no idea how to run the ice cream machine & no idea how to turn it off.  We sat there watching her from the car as the cones just kept getting taller & taller, and TALLER!  She had to turn it sideways to get it into the window of the car!  ha ha  We laughed all the way home & still laugh about it now! I'm sure they did an amazing amount of business that day once people figured out how large her cones were!

Enjoy your weekend!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Shaped Cards (no squares or rectangles)

Hello, everyone!

I was really happy to see the theme for this week's QKR Stampede challenge was shaped cards!  It made me get out of my rut and think outside the box.  We all get so used to doing squares or rectangles, that we forget there are other shapes that are just as fun too!

I grabbed digi # 13201 Celebrating Kitty for my card.

This was so much fun I need to make several more now!  I have lots of flowers & dies that would fit nicely on round cards.

Grab your stamps & join in the fun!  Try a fun shape for a change & see what you can come up with!

Bright wishes!

Happy Hump Day!

I'm still in a "yellow" mode and grabbed more of it for today's birthday card.  I wanted something I could do quickly and this certainly filled the bill! I've had this great border die that also embosses for years and pulled it out just because I wanted something I could thread ribbon through.

If you are in a pinch for a quick card, this literally takes just minutes!  You can grab any ribbon you like and totally change the look instantly.

Back tomorrow with another Stamping Bella!

Little Piggy!

Hello, everyone!

Today's card is another Stamping Bella design.  I loved this little piggy and the sentiment that came with him is perfect for a thank you card! We all have those people in our lives that are always there for us! I went with a happy yellow background from my stash of polka dot paper.  Yes....I'm weird, I know.  I have 2 drawers that hold only polka dot paper or gingham paper.  My 2 favorite papers!

I'm working on a new batch of cards for a donation to Lincoln's Legacy.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, it funds research for Fibrodysplasia Ossificons Progressiva (FOP). I have a friend whose grandson has it and if you google it, you will see how devastating this disease actually is. They have a fundraiser in Sioux City where they auction off donated gifts & even though I no longer live there, I promised to donate cards for the next one they had.  If you are looking for somewhere to donate to a good cause, check it out!

See you tomorrow with a quick birthday card!

You're a class act!

Hi, friends!

We all know someone who is always on our mind, don't we? It may be a family member or just a dear, dear friend.  But what a great way to let them know how much you care!

This is another Stamping Bella stamp.  I used an old, old corner punch for the corner flowers. Back in the day before dies became so popular, your only option for adding interest to a card was with punches.  I think I have every single Martha Stewart punch she ever made.  And I still use them from time to time.  Especially the corner punches!

Hope your week ahead will be a fun one!
